Preparing For Surgery


If you require orthopedic surgery, your physician will thoroughly explain the operative procedure, the recovery process, and the type of rehabilitation program you will need. Our surgical suites are equipped with the most advanced instrumentation and equipment available.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU TO YOUR SURGERY

All Patients:

  • Athletic shoes or other Rubber soled shoes
  • Shorts
  • Loose, comfortable clothes (please be mindful that your clothes may become somewhat stained due to dressing/iodine used after your procedure)
  • Any icing device (cold pack, cryo-cuff, etc.) that you have used or feel comfortable using
  • Summaries of any physical therapy or training programs that you have followed for this condition
  • Insurance card/Workman's Comp information
  • Picture ID and any Pre-op orders that your physician has given you
  • Please DO NOT bring jewelry or wear make up the day of your procedure
  • You may bring contact lenses, glasses, dentures, hearing aids, and similar items but they may have to be removed before arriving at the surgery site

Knee Patients:

  • Crutches or any walking device (cane, walker, etc.) If you do not have one please tell your physician and a arrangements will be made prior to your procedure
  • Knee brace (that you have been using)

Shoulder Patients

Loose fitting button-up shirt
